PET/CT Scan

PET, or Positron Emission Technology, is a special type of imaging used in the diagnosis of many diseases, particularly cancer. Pavilion Imaging's PET/CT scanner combines two advanced technologies into one unit that provides a more complete picture for your doctor to diagnose problems, determine the extent of disease, aid in prescribing treatment, and track the progress of therapy afterwards.

With Pavilion Imaging's PET/CT scanner, doctors can view your body's metabolic function, which can reveal illnesses earlier than other conventional diagnostic procedures. The procedure is painless, with no side effects and reduces the need for ineffective or unnecessary surgeries, treatments or other diagnostic tests.

PET/CT utilizes the most advanced imaging technology available, and Pavilion Imaging's unit is the only stationary one found within a 250-mile radius.  Pavilion Imaging’s radiologists and technologists are also members of the "Image Gently" organization, which focuses on capturing the highest quality images with the least amount of radiation needed to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Pavilion Imaging participates in the National Oncologic PET Registry (NOPR). Medicare reimbursement for cancers and indications not presently eligible for Medicare can now be obtained if the patient's referring physician and the provider submit data to a clinical registry to assess the impact of PET on cancer patient management.
